Due to my teaching schedule, Fearless Friday went on hiatus, but now it's back, most likely to stay, because my teaching days have shifted next semester.

After HH's conference in San Francisco, we rented a car and drove north to see the Muir Woods. I am utterly and completely glad we did because they are magical, even with other people around.

Sorry to be away so long, but between the end of the semester and travels, I couldn't squeeze in any blog posts, although I did manage a few tweets (@kquimbyjohnson). But while I was gone, I was refueling.

And there is no better place to refuel than San Francisco.

It was more my heels than my heart that I left in San Francisco. Pounding up and down (literally up and down) the streets, even with taking advantage of all the public transportation I could, left my feet sore and aching for a week.
